2D Digital Art: Pixels and Sprites

Grades 4-10

Do you enjoy creating 2D art and want to explore how to create cool pixel art and build character sprites? Using digital art tools, this program will focus on creating art inspired by classic video games, animations and webtoons. Our instructors will teach participants how to design and create 2D pixel objects and character sprites and bring them to life with simple animation techniques. Participants will create their pixel art on a device using software designed specifically for pixel art and sprites. Participants can expect to make 2D character sprites inspired by their favorite video games as well as create pixel-based replicas of life-like backgrounds, items or structures, and to create our own unique character(s). No experience is required, this is perfect for fans of 2D video games and pixel graphic art style.
