Mayor Jim Kenney speaks about the importance of technology in the classroom.

Fleming Tech Camps was in attendance for a press conference hosted by Public Citizens for Children and Youth (PCCY) and Philadelphia’s Mayor Kenney.

Last fall, Fleming Tech Camps helped sponsor PCCY’s Minecraft and STEM fair which benefited access to technology for the Philadelphia School District (Fleming Tech Camps donated 100 laptops to use during the event). Today, the PCCY held a press conference (at Philadelphia’s School of the Future) and awarded $10,000 for technology programs to the winning schools. At the press conference PCCY also announced the dates for the 2018 Minecraft and STEM event (Oct 6).

Fleming Tech Camps couldn’t be more happy to help the PCCY with its mission and to be part of its efforts to provide access to cutting edge technology to Philadelphia school children. We will be back to help them next October and we invite you to consider lending a hand for this very worthy cause. If you want to help out, send us a note.
